Biovar 1 (Keane et al. 1970). Causes crown gall formation on Helianthus annuus (NCPPB). Tumorigenic. The presence of bands representing the virD2 and ipt genes as indicated by the Haas et al PCR suggest this is a Ti plasmid carrying strain (NCPPB). |
